Hello :)
Posting two days running - that must be a miracle! Well today I am sharing another tag with you, and its one that I am entering into Tim Holtz's tattered floral challenge.
I choose one of my favourite colour combinations for this tag, which is Purple and Green. The background of the tag was coloured with Distress Inks - Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint and Broken China. All blended together and spritzed with water. The edges were shaded with the Dusty Concord. I also stamped the butterflies from the Tim Holtz Papillion set, using Dusty Concord, as using black would have made the image too bold and stand out too much.
Of course the main focus on this tag is the lovely flower made up from various elements of the Tattered Floral Die Cut. The largest bottom flower was cut from some lovely textured felt already dyed to just the right shade of purple. The other elements were cut from a thick card and then coloured with Peeled Paint and Broken China - the edges were just touched with the Dusty Concord. The centre of the flower has a small gem attached for a bit of glitz.
The tag was further embellished with two strips of velvet ribbon that accent the colours in the tag.
The other bit of glitz on the tag is a twisted wire which has several clear crystal type drops attached. These really catch the light. They are normally meant for floral decoration, but I found them in a local craft shop.
The sentiment on the tag is - In my thoughts. This was stamped onto co-ordinating paper and then attached above a strip of dark purple gross-grain ribbon. The ribbon was attached with a couple of staples from my tiny attacher.
Well I'm really happy to share this tag with you, hoping that it might inspire you to join in the tattered floral challenge too!

Vintage Tags
Hi
Today I wanted to share a previous project with you, which is a small hinged box that has been distressed and filled with vintage themed tags.
The box has been covered with a selection of papers from on of the Tim Holtz paper stash, in this case Vintage Shabby. The papers were cut to size and attached using Matt Medium.
The hinge side of the box were covered with tissue tape with the usual additional distressing with Distress Ink - Walnut Ink. I also added some gilding wax to the edges of the box for extra shine.
As you can see from the picture, the front cover was decorated with paper flowers from Prima that had been coloured with Distress Ink - Victorian Velvet. They were also sprayed with Perfect Pearl Mists -Heirloom gold. The centres of the flowers had either a small amber coloured stone added or sprinkles of gold micro beads.
A key was stamped on some co-ordinating paper and attached behind a Tim Holtz - Ornate Plate which was then filled with Ranger Crackle Glaze.
Hinge side view showing the tissue tape.
Opening side view, showing the tissue tape and the hitch fastener as a knob to open the box.
Enclosed with the box is a selection of tags, all decorated in a shabby vintage style. All the tags were coloured with a range of Distress Inks and then embossed using a selection of the texture fades embossing folders. The tags were then sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Creme de Rouge and Perfect Pearl Mists - Heirloom gold.
The tags are held together using a Swivel Clasp which has a Philosophy tag - Cherish, attached.
As you can see the tags have a selection of Prima flowers, vintage images and touches of lace and gold german scrap attached. The butterflies are from Maya road and have been coloured and then glitzed up with glitter.
Well I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please let me know what you think.

Trapped in Glass
I have recently made some pendants using Ranger Memory Glass and Frames. Its a bit like making inchies - really tests your ability to create on a smaller scale. I start with the image and then try to find elements that will co-ordinate and fit!
As you can see from the pictures I choose a picture of three small children. I have a stash of vintage photos and this one tempted me. I used my favourite blue Distress Ink - Stormy Sky - to colour the background together with a liberal spraying of walnut ink to give that aged appearance. I found the very smallest flowers from the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die cut fitted the frame perfectly. I managed to find some papers coloured previously with blues and greys that tied in. I needed some text so chose a ChitChat sticker that fitted the theme. This was all tied together with two pieces of lace to finish the piece.
I decided to make the piece double sided, so added another piece of paper that had been aged and had vintage text (PaperArtsy Mini stamp) printed on it together with a sprinkle of walnut ink.
So I have hung the finished frame on blackened silver ball chain together with a tassel made up of several glass beads with compliment the colour scheme.
Hope you like this post and the vintage frame shown. Leave a comment if you like, and dont forget ...
